A Better Light
Our lights use the Phillips 160-170 Lumen per Watt chips. We find these to deliver unmatched brightness and durability.
The advantage of these lights is that we can combine them into lightbars that deliver scalable light. This allows us to add or subtract lumens as needed by adding or removing lightbars.
From city streets to highways, we have a light for every need. Our standard lighting configurations include:
- 6,400 lumens
- 12,800 lumens
- 19,200 lumens
The angle of our lightbars can be adjusted. Loosen the ends of each lightbar and adjust them to the proper angle. This allows you to create custom light patterns.
These lights also have increased ventilation. These vents allow for better airflow while discouraging dust from settling onto the components.
Because this light is one self-contained unit, it is easier to install. Since the solar panel, light bars, and battery are contained in the light head, they can be installed without having an electrician on hand.
One of the features of our Stealth series is the double built-in motion detectors. Offering detection up to 15 meters on each side of the light. This is a great way to conserve power consumption while still offering light when it’s needed.
There are several different ways you can program the motion sensors, depending on your needs. There is the Default Mode – this automatically operates at 50% brightness dusk to dawn. Sensor Mode when motion is detected, the light increases to 100% until no motion is detected, then returns to 30% brightness.
This innovative design feature allows our solar street lights to be used in the low light conditions of northern climates and helps them to perform at optimal levels during cloudy weeks.
A Better Panel
Solar street lights need to generate enough power out of a small panel.
Our lights use a monocrystalline solar panel.
These panels are designed to better withstand and the occasional flying debris.
More importantly, these panels are more efficient. This design can generate up to 50% more power per unit area. This allows the light to better capture sunlight for energy storage.
One of the performance challenges that we wanted to overcome is solar panels’ inherent challenge with performing well in high heat.
Our panels have a reduced voltage-temperature coefficient. This helps the panel produce more electricity on hot days.
The solar panel is fully integrated as part of the street light design and does not need to be wired.
A Patented Solar Charge Controller
The charge controller manages how energy is stored. It helps to protect the battery and has an impact on how much energy can be collected during the day.
Our lights have a built-in charge controller that uses a patented MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) charging technology. This design lets us increase charging efficiency by up to 30%.
Combined with the efficient monocrystalline solar panels, this light is able to better store energy during the day.
This added current capacity enables us to manage better, store, and conserve energy which means you get the most out of each solar panel.
