Solar Lighting International is excited to expand the global delivery of solar street lamps to the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Our lights are:
- Fully Grid Independent
- Designed For Winds
- Optimized For High Temperatures
- Designed To Have Low Maintenance
Our solar street lights have been installed on projects around the globe. From the U.S. Virgin Islands to Saudi Arabia, we’re proud to have partnered on multiple energy conservation projects.
These solar street lamps are often used by cities looking to add more lighting to their communities without increasing the load on their electrical grid.
Our solar panels require no power source and can be installed in any location that has adequate sunlight.
The demand for an environmentally-friendly lighting option has helped to drive the need for our lights. These lights can be installed on most exiting light poles to help save energy. Additionally, we sell solar lamp posts that have been hot dipped and galvanized to withstand harsh environments.
From Kinshasa to Lubumbashi, our lights are perfect for providing lighting along remote highways and in inner-city neighborhoods.
These lights are designed with durability in mind, and we’ve proven our product on installations around the globe.
At Solar Lighting International, we’ve carefully selected each lighting component to work well with each other. This has created a lighting system that is highly innovative and designed to provide reliable lighting year after year.
Below we discuss the benefits of our lighting design. We also provide some brochures on our different products. If you have any questions, please contact us.
A Better Light
After testing different options, our research and design center settled on the Phillips 160-170 Lumen per Watt chips.
This lets us deliver the most amount of lighting with a small amount of power needed.
We also improved the ventilation of the housing for our lights. We wanted good airflow, while also allowing them to be well-protected from dust.
Additionally, our lights are easy to assemble. The all-in-one module makes it easy to install without requiring previous electrical experience.
Our Stealth Lighting Series comes in 3 major configurations:
- 6,400 lumens
- 12,800 lumens
- 19,200 lumens
One of the features of our Stealth series is the double built-in motion detectors. Offering detection up to 15 meters on each side of the light. This is a great way to conserve power consumption while still offering light when it’s needed.
There are several different ways you can program the motion sensors, depending on your needs. There is the Default Mode – this automatically operates at 50% brightness from dusk to dawn. Sensor Mode when motion is detected, the light increases to 100% until no motion is detected, then returns to 30% brightness.
This innovative design feature allows our solar street lights to be used in the low light conditions of northern climates and helps them to perform at optimal levels during cloudy weeks.
A Better Panel
Our solar panels are made of monocrystalline silicon.
This efficient power generation helps to guarantee that the light stays on all night long.
These solar panels are often more durable against winds and small debris.
One of the performance challenges that we wanted to overcome is the inefficiencies that solar panels struggle in high heat.
Our Panels use a reduced voltage-temperature coefficient that improves the efficiency of the panel in high heat conditions.
A Patented Solar Charge Controller
What sets our charge controller apart is that it uses a patented MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) charging technology.
This on-board charge controller allows us to increase charging efficiency by up to 30%.
This allows us to collect the sunlight effectively and store it for later use while also protecting battery life.
This added current capacity enables us to manage better, store, and conserve energy which means you get the most out of each solar panel.
