Emergency vehicles are
Traffic and pedestrians need time to yield and allow space for emergency vehicles to enter the highway and make way for everyone involved. Our push button and key fob-activated emergency warning flashing beacon systems are used all over the country to assist first responders. We have solar and AC options available, single-sided and double-sided warning systems, and additional solutions to fit your requirements and the municipality.
What options and features are included with our EVCS solar emergency vehicle warning caution system?
Solar Lighting International’s standard traffic system contains a 15 or 17-foot aluminum spun pole with AASHTO-rated break-away bases, single or double 12-inch LED flashing beacon(s) with visors or RRFB ( Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons), and a radio transmitter to activate the system and electronics cabinet, solar panel, battery and pre-assembled wiring for easy installation along with installation documentation.
A standard solar lighting emergency vehicle system comes with the following benefits
Our solar-powered systems are sized by your geographical location and historical weather data. Custom design based upon electrical load requirements for optimal effectiveness guarantees sufficient power for the flashing beacons – the light intensity never dims, fades, or fails! The systems are customized to your needs and the regulations of the municipality.
Our self-contained systems do not require electrical contractors for installation. Systems come pretested and partially wired for easy reassembly once they arrive at your location. Installation is as easy as preparing your foundation hole and pouring concrete using the supplied mounting bolts. This means that setup is a snap and systems can install just about anywhere. Designed with maximum flexibility in mind for your urban planning needs.

How does the system work?
You have the option of activating the emergency warning systems from your keyring, inside a firetruck, ambulance or another vehicle, or from the main push button in the fire station. Once the signal is activated, it remains on for a pre-set period of time. Timer lengths are set by the user and can range from 1 second to 24 hours. If more than one location requires signal activation, it can be done simultaneously via radio transmissions. Each receiver and transmitter have up to 4 unique address codes, activating only the receivers with the matching programmed code. Any number of receivers can be set to a single address code.
